The Mesivta of Moscow, a school for children from throughout Russia who want to learn about their Jewish heritage, embarked on an emotional and educational visit to the town of Lubavitch this week.
The group was led by the Mesivta’s Vice Principal, Rabbi Moshe Boruch Benish, who also served as historian and tour guide, infusing the trip with information about Jewish and Chabad history.
They were also accompanied by the Talmidim Shluchim of the Yeshiva, Reuven Batkin, Mendy Erentrau, Yisroel Elbaz, Mendel Soffer, Yoel Serebryanski, Aron Sirota and Shlomo Taib.
The trip included a visit to the Chabad center in Smolensk, led by Rabbi Levi Mundshein,where they were taught about the customs and significance of visiting the Ohel of a Tzadik.
They then visited and prayed at the gravesites of the Tzemach Tzedek, the Rebbe Maharashand the Rebbetzins.
