Menachem Mendel Avrahami, a 23-year-old Chabad bochur, has passed away after falling from an apartment building in his hometown of Kiryat Gat in Israel.
He fell 5 stories from the apartment of his parents, R’ Shimon and Tali Avrahami in the building in the Ramat David neighborhood.
Paramedics called to the scene tried to perform CPR, but to no avail. A doctor shortly thereafter pronounced him dead, with ZAKA volunteers taking the body for burial.
The news has shocked many in the community and especially his friends from Yeshiva.
“Mendy was loved by everyone,” one of them said. “He would always offer help and assistance to whomever needed.”
He is survived by his parents and 8 siblings. His mother is known for producing and directing films and theater shows with an all female cast for the viewing of frum women and girls.
The levaya left Thursday from the Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Chabad in Kiryat Gat for burial in the Colel Chabad section of Har Hazeisim.

I can see both sides of merit
On one hand it would be cruel not to do all in our power to show people HOW they can prevent more such tragedies
On the other hand
The family and friends are still in shock and need not hear HOW this was preventable alpi Chazal
Please all of you, in your Tefillos have kavanah and when you ask Hashem for Moshiach MEAN it with all your heart and soul! The Rebbe would remind us of that constantly: V’sechezena Einainu B’shuvcha L’Tzion B’rachamim…!!

Many korbanos are paying the price, our safety depends on Shmirat Habrit and Shmirat Einayim , if we don’t guard our eyes and we don’t have the kedusha we must puts on risk GEULA, also National Security in Israel. The way to stop such a wave of untimely tragedies is to see what Torah says
1. Removing Tznius removes G’ds protection from a machaneh, “Community”
2. The converse is also true
3. Putting on Kosher Tfilin & Mezuzos (checked annually)
the reason the Zohar chelek gimul, Rebbe & Chazal always singled out Tznius is bec IT is the single factor which repels g-d’s protection
clearly the increase of tragedies requires us todo something better!
We must not just moan! we must find ways to STOP THIS craziness!!

According to chazal, Untimely deaths, increased tragedies R”L etc are not to be viewed as random or unpreventable!
Chazal links Safety to the Pasuk of “Vehayu Machanecha Kadosh”
Meforshim explain on this paskuk, that a communities decrese in tznius = ch”v a decrease in hashems protection agains harm R”L
we must trust chazal & make the sacrifices for our own sake & for the sake of our fellow community members!
Also, singled out for saftey segula is Checking Tfilin & Mezuza to be Kosher!
