Mendik Kleinberg, 9 year-old son of Chabad Shluchim, performed in the Kremlin’s Young Stars competition Monday.
A student of Cheder Menachem in Moscow, Kleinberg plays the violin at Jewish community events and is hailed there as a prodigy.
His parents are Rabbi Boruch Kleinberg, Director of Beit Chabad Sokol-Airport, and Mrs. Golda Kleinberg, an educator at Chaya Mushka girls institute.
The two debated whether their son should join the competition, but came to the conclusion that it would be a Kiddush Hashem.
Mendik Kleinberg arrived at the event wearing a Kippa, Tzitzis and Chassidic clothing.
So much talent and capability! Perhaps a different violin and some finger strengthening exercises to be able to hold the note.
you could also see him play on youtube, and I think he does much better on this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwJ099BSk_A&NR=1
cool how he is #9, it sounds like somone krechting away, or tone deaf.
but its real nice to see him, he`ll be great one day…
keep it up!!!
Once he gets control over his intonation, there will be no stopping him!
“Why yes, I’d love to play for the Queen… but sorry, I can’t come on Shabbos!”
wow this kid is amazing!
