Members of Congregation Bais Shmuel Chabad in Crown Heights gathered this past Wednesday for their second annual barbecue event in support of the local chapter of Friendship Circle.
Enjoying camaraderie, grilled meats and drinks, the event raised funds for the Friendship Circle, which services 120 families that have children with special needs in the neighborhood.
“The funds raised this week will allow us to continue serving the many families who reach out of us,” said the organization’s directors Rabbi Berel and Chani Majesky.
“Through the many programs of the Friendship Circle – Friends @ Home, Sunday Circle, Holiday Program, Mom’s Night Out, Father/Son programs – we are able to provide the encouraging support to families facing the daily challenges.”
The event was held on the rooftop terrace of the home of businessman Haysha Deitsch and hosted by Shmuly Kopfstein with organizational support by Rabbi Moshe Pinson.
The Mejeskys thanked participants for helping the organization launch its programming for the new Jewish year. “In merit of your kindness, may Hashem bless you with good health, happiness and prosperity,” they wished.
