On Sunday night, approximately 9:30 PM, a delivery crew from a local Brooklyn supermarket stole a package from a house while doing a delivery.
Shortly afterwards, the home owner realized that her package was missing, she immediately called the store management to have them send the delivery van back to her home.
She then called the Shmira Hotline to report the situation, Shmira members responded swiftly and located the delivery van. Shmira members then began to follow the van from a distance while simultaneously activating the police.
While waiting for the police to show up, members noticed the stolen package being thrown out of the van’s window.
After a long drive, the suspects eventually returned to their store, where the police was awaiting for them, to where they were then promptly placed under arrest.
Leaving packages, mail or fliers at the door step attracts thieves and burglars. Shmira strongly advises homeowners to arrange for fliers to be removed and packages to be dropped off at a neighbor’s house when no one is home. what we need to do is DEMAND from all stores who deliver 2 u that their employees MUST have uniforms (at least the shirt part) so we know who is who AND they will think 100 times before commiting crimes (proven facts nationwide…) let ur opinion be heard!!!!!
