Thanks for the laughs to all the remarks re. bbq. man. Rabbi Kaplan you are the envy of all the Rabbonim in town & I hope they learn from you and you won’t let it get to your head(not suggesting that you do) Hatzlacha Rabba! Moshiach Now!!

To #17 I'm the Grill Man

Sure Izzie…And I’m the Queen of England.

But let me grill you: Were you working the bar-b-que for free? Did you donate the shnitzel? What flavoring was used on the shnitzel? And what was the story behind Shanghai Chinese Restaurant?

Im the Grill Man

to all those very interested in the guy at the grill. Its me, im not izzy, neither am i Rabbi Grossbaum, with a rolled up beard supporting his son-in-law.
My suggestion to all go support your local chabad, help out in any way possible. perhaps at the grill.

It's him
September 7, 2009 8:38 am

It forsure IS Rabbi GRossbaum. His beard is just rolled up cause it would get buned in the BBQ. What a great way to support younger shluchim and his own son-in-law.

fay you look awesome...

go rebbetzin kaplan!

it is NOT rabbi grossbaum
September 6, 2009 11:09 pm

He is indeed a humble man, but it is really not him at the bbq.
its a member from the flamingo shul i believe

Kudos to ZA Grossbaum
September 6, 2009 10:29 pm

We can all learn from this humble man. He’s working the bar-b-que in the background, making sure M Kaplan is matzliach. ZA Grossbaum – you are a true chassidish yid! Your humility is stellar!

If you read the article you will see that it was not in Rabbi Kaplans house, it was in the backyard of a baal habos!!
get your facts straight before you make blanket statements, such as the stupid one you made!!!

Great BBQ!!! and the shnitzel was heaven

izzie rosler
September 6, 2009 8:23 pm

apparently its not him! that is why “he” would indeed look different.

Who's Who
September 6, 2009 8:04 pm

The guy working the grill is the current Head Shaliach of Ontario, Rabbi Grossbaum. The guy doing mivtzoim is Rabbi Kaplan.

My Gosh that's not Rosler. That's Moshe, former owner of Shanghai Chinese Restaurant.

Izzie is much talker than that and more slim….. Please……
Anyhow, mazel Tov Mendy Kaplan and crew…. What a great idea Meat and Greet. Excellent venue Excellent idea. As usual Mendy, you’re on the ball… I believe you’re the fastest growing Chabad Synagogue in North America…. and of course it all started with Zalman Aaron Grossbaum’s vision of the future… A million thanks for Zalman Aaron, head shliach of ONTARIO…. hip hip hooray, for he’s a jolly good fellow!!!!!!!! Anyhow, have a wonderful healthy new year gang and may you all go from strength to strength

Who's working the bar-b-que?
September 6, 2009 6:53 pm

Is that Izzie Rosler working the bar-b-que?!

Izzie, it’s hard to recognize you after all these years. You look different, and the picture makes you look shorter (and heavier). And I don’t remember you wearing glasses! Boy, have you changed!

very hospitable
September 6, 2009 5:45 pm

Rabbi Kaplan is quite young to have such a large following.
PS I am a personal recipient of the Kaplan’s hospitality, which was very kind and sensitive.
May you see more and more success.

Rabbi Kaplan
September 6, 2009 5:08 pm

Rabbi Kaplan: The future Head Shaliach of Toronto and Ontario, I salute you! Your house looks like a castle, befitting you, as you are royalty. Soon, Toronto and Onatrio will be yours! Chazak u’Baruch!
