Plans are underway for the largest joint Chabad trip to Israel, known as “Land and Spirit – Israel Experience.” It is scheduled for March 27 to April 5, 2016 and coordinated by the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI).
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other leading Israeli dignitaries are expected to personally welcome and address the group, led by over 70 Shluchim and shluchos.
The group will be studying Torah text about each of the destinations they visit, and given the magnitude of the size and scope of the group, they will be granted unique access to many behind-the-scenes aspects of Israeli history and society.
From joining a security briefing at Israel’s border, to taking part in real-life archaeological excavations, to seeing first-hand what it is like to be living in the city of Chevron.
Past JLI trips were addressed by both Chief Rabbis, the Prime Minister, Israeli president Reuven Rivlin, scholar Rabbi Adin Even Yisroel-Steinslatz, renowned refusenik Natan Sharansky, Speaker of the Kneset Yuli Edelstein and other prominent scholars and personalities.
