Just under 6 months ago, when the 39th cycle of Rambam study began, Rabbi Yossi Lipskier, son of the Rebbe’s Shluchim to Sherman Oaks, California, launched the Mitzvah Minute project, aiming to summarize the daily Sefer Hamitzvos in a 60-second video clip.
Boruch Hashem, the project has met with great success. Baalei Batim in Sherman Oaks and around the world, as well as hundreds of Anash, subscribed to receive the videos daily via WhatsApp, with more people watching the videos as they are posted online. New subscribers have been signing up almost every week since then, and in recent weeks, more people have been subscribing almost every day.
The feedback has been incredible as well. From children, who watch the videos every day in their classrooms or before going to bed, to Baalei Batim, who are being exposed to the entire spectrum of Torah for the first time. From Shluchim, who share these videos in their communities, to the women and girls of Chabad communities, who find in these videos a clear summary of the daily Shiur.
“I’m so happy to have been able to make the Rebbe’s Takanah that much more accessible to people,” says Rabbi Lipskier. “I’m really looking forward to completing the second half of this journey.”
