Over 360 people came to salute the Los Angeles Chabad Israel Center’s 32 years of service to the community under the leadership of Rabbi Amitai Yemini.
The Gala Banquet held at Majestic Hall in Downtown Los Angeles honored 3 special couples whose outstanding support for Chabad serves as an inspiration to others.
Dr. Benjamin and Ofra Bonavida received the Lamplighter Award in recognition for his work with Israel Cancer Research and their support of Chabad.
Mr. Alan and Sharon Gomperts received the Parents of the Year Award for their exemplary commitment to the Gan Chabad Preschool.
Mr. Uriel and Shula Uralevich received the Keter Shem Tov Award For 32 years of involvement and dedication.
As one speaker noted, “This evening is not about the past 32 years…it’s about building on what is to create what will be!”
A special video was shown highlighting all of Chabad Israel Center programs.

Right on about separate seating, very impressed by these shluchim who do not what’s easy and comfortable but what we were clearly instructed by the rebbe and what’s right.
