A man who has kept residents in Brooklyn in fear for the last few days was arrested by the New York Police Department on Motzoei Shabbos, February 14.
The perpetrator, 32-year-old Jovan Frederick, was charged Monday with attempted robbery, as well as 2 attempted murders, 3 robberies, one assault in the 1st degree and criminal possession of a weapon.
The suspect has a long arrest record including assault and robbery, a source at the NYPD 71st Precinct said.
Police arrested Freverick at approximately 2:00 am on Sunday, for an attempted robbery of a female at the corner of Albany and Midwood in Brooklyn.
Police connected that crime with a series of armed robberies in the area.
The first was a robbery of a Jewish male on the corner of Kingston and Maple and the second a shooting of a 19-year-old black female during a robbery attempt three days ago on Maple Street.
He was charged with all three crimes after the 71 Precinct Detective Unit investigated the incidents and compared evidence, video, witness statements and ballistics recovered from the scenes.

Signs on the street in front of our… Read more »
I want to know how long this bottom feeder of society will be in jail for. At least 20 years, I hope
We need every multi unit residential building to have video servilance cameras. This will prevent crime and help prosecute a criminal when a criminal is caught.
Thank you, NYPD, for nabbing this perpetrator!
This is great news – pretty scarey times. Kudos to our police precinct. I hope the young lady who was shot in her own lobby is recovering.
