It would be beautiful if the speeches stopped and everyone can enjoy the siyum. It’s not the speakers Simcha. It’s OURS!
Our children have to go to sleep.
Organizers have to be considerate.
I thought so too until we realized that they couldn’t start the music until night fall. Until Lag beomer actually starts.
It’s about time there was a geshmakeh Peylishe bonfire in front of 770.
To the best of my understanding the beautiful Lag B’omer bonfires that are lit in many Jewish circles are indeed heartwarming (pun intended,) but they originated as Israeli, perhaps sephardic, minhagim, not Eastern or Central European minhagim. I can just imagine what the authorities would have had to say if Yidden had the “audacity” to light multiple bonfires in shtetlach or other Jewish enclaves in Europe.
