Following last year’s successful ‘30 Letters – 30 Days’ program, launched in connection with the Rebbe’s 120th birthday, Vaad Or Vechom Hahiskashrus and Soul Words is pleased to announce that the program will once again be offered to Chassidim around the world in the thirty days leading up to the Rebbe’s birthday on Yud-Alef Nissan!
We are now nearing thirty days to Yud-Alef Nissan. The Rebbe asked that those celebrating his birthday should give “gifts of Torah.” Studying the Rebbe’s letters is a unique form of Torah study that not only educates us about a vast array of topics but also connects us in a deep way to the Rebbe’s unique approach to life.
Over the years, the Rebbe answered tens of thousands of letters, a portion of which are printed in the series known as Igros Kodesh. In these letters, we find a treasure trove of compassion, wisdom, faith, and practicality — but perhaps most importantly — a direct path to personal insight into the Rebbe’s approach to a vast range of life’s issues. By observing how the Rebbe replies to people from all walks of life dealing with real-life issues, we catch a glimpse into the Rebbe’s worldview as it applies to everyday life. In other words, we learn to take the Rebbe’s guidance personally.
The exciting program featuring nightly text-based classes from renowned teacher, Rabbi Shais Taub, begins this Motzei Shabbos and continues every night until Yud-Alef Nissan (March 4th – April 2nd) at 10 pm. (Classes will take place Motzei Shabbos through Thursday, Thursday will be a double class in place of Friday night.)
Many subscribers from last year’s program, already expressed their immense joy and excitement that the initiative is being brought back for another year. One member from Crown Heights commented, “I am still blown away at the incredible effect that this project has had on me personally last year. Thank you for doing this again! I listened every night last year, and again to some of them throughout the year. It really gave me a new appreciation for the Rebbes letters and how to learn them properly in a way to change the way I live.
