the reason it is always called “detroit” is becasue the rebbe gave dollars and said “for the camp in detroit” so the name stuck.

CGI is located in northern Michigan, a very beautiful resort area, and very far from Detroit. In fact the Detroit kehilla does not even live in Detroit but in Oak Park and Southfield.
The Kalkaska CGI should be referred to as CGI Michigan.
