Chabad shluchim serving in cities across the state of New Jersey gathered for a statewide Kinus, held at Chabad of Cherry Hill in New Jersey on Tuesday.
Shluchim from across the state gathered for an empowering day of inspiration, study, strategizing and collaboration.
The kinus began Monday evening in a hotel with dinner, a statewide Siyum Harambam, and farbrengen with Shmuel Lew, which continued late into the night.
The next day, Rabbi Shmuel Lew, shliach and educator from London, England, presented a session about the Rebbe’s instructions related to Shlichus, Chinuch, and Shalom Bayis.
The Shluchim then sat for a roundtable discussion and brainstormed how to enhance and broaden current and new programs that happen in New Jersey, and the best ways to work together and collaborate for maximum success.
The Kinus concluded with a Grand Banquet.
The banquet was MC’d by Rabbi Avi Richler, who introduced Shliach Rabbi Mendy Herson, who gave words of welcomed. Tehillim was recited by the newest Shliach to NJ, Rabbi Shmuly Sputz. Rabbi Mendy Mangel told the story of Chabad in Cherry Hill.
Head Shliach of New Jersey, Rabbi Moshe Herson delivered words of inspiration. The Banquet event concluded with the Shluchim uniting in spirited dancing. A new Sefer by Rabbi Dovid Dubov was distributed to all participants.
Some shluchim stayed on for a tour of the Cherry Hill mikvah.
All participants went home from the event with renewed vigor and excitement after an uplifting and inspiring Kinus.
“Relationships between the Shluchim are an integral part of the Shlichus,” said Rabbi Mendy Herson, Associate Dean of the Rabbinical College of America. “Devoting a day to sharing, listening and collaborating was refreshing to individual Shluchim and – perhaps more critically – our general identity as the team of New Jersey Shluchim.”

Still so hard to believe that Rabbi Yisroel Rapoport isn’t there. We miss him everyday. His community, his friends, his family, have all lost someone incredibly special. His absence is felt always. I’m sure this wonderful group of Shluchim are helping to keep his memory and legacy alive.
