Another year of the Nigri International Jewish Online School was coming to an end. Quite surprisingly, instead of the usual pre-summer excitement, the boys of 8th grade were more than disappointed. They had enjoyed an unreal year of learning, and wanted to continue their studies together during vacation.
Determined, the students petitioned to the principal to open an online classroom for the summer where they could learn B’chavrusa. When Rabbi Mendy Mellul, their teacher, heard about this, he graciously offered to continue with the boys over the summer.
“We put an emphasis during the year that learning Torah is what connects us to Hashem, and therefore there’s no vacation from learning. One student from maine took it seriously and arranged a daily Gemara class during the summer with a friend from Texas and a friend from Winnipeg.”
One of the student’s parents, who wish to remain anonymous, heard about the students’ dedication and agreed to sponsor the cost of the class for the rest of the students
“The sincerity of our students, as well as the generosity of this family, was truly heartwarming.” Said Mrs. Chaya Margolin, principal of the Jewish Online School.
“We agreed to the idea, and as a gift from the school, made a price arrangement to have a class open through the summer.”
They’ve been learning together every since and have been thoroughly enjoying it.

I also send my kids to the once a week Cheder. It’s a great option for kids that go to non chabad day schools. It’s fun, interactive, professional and great content

That is adorable! Which kid wants to learn through the summer? The teachers must be amazing that the kids actually wanted to continue
