Today, over 4,000 children in 43 schools around the world, together with hundreds of Yaldei Hashluchim, will gather for an amazing program produced by Tzivos Hashem Headquarters to inspire the soldiers of Hashem’s army to complete their mission to bring Moshiach now.
“This rally is a Yud Shevat Farbrengen,” says Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum director of Chayolei Tzivos Hashem. Now is the time to review the special Minhogim for Yud Shevat, singing Niggunim, listening to the Rebbe saying the Mamaer of Bosi Legani, say the 12 Pessukim, give Tzedoka and ask for Moshiach. Instead of each school having to make their own Farbrengen we have made a global Fabrengen for all the schools to join.”
“For schools to have a ready-made program for Yud Shevat is very helpful,” says Rabbi Mendy Shanowitz, director of MyShliach, “but for a child of a Shliach sitting alone in his city this is more than just helpful, This is their life line that connects these young Shlcuhim with the Rebbe and their fellow Yaldei Hashlcuhim around the world.”
Ches Shevat is also the date Chayolim around the world complete the entire Sefer Hamitzvos and make a Siyum Horambam. With the help of Mrs. Leah Perlstein, principal of Cheder Lubavitch Chicago, Tzivos Hashem interviewed some of their chayolim to learn how this modal Tzivos Hashem base keeps the special Takona of Limud Horambam. These Chayolim also make a siyum on the entire Sefer Hamiztvos for all their fellow Chayolim around the world.
Over the past week the staff of Tzivos Hashem and Myshlaich have been working overtime, packing and sending out over 5,000 medals and thousands of rank cards and rank books, to be presented today at the Medal and Rank ceremony. (These ceremonies are held in each base in conjunction with the rally). Tzivos Hashem offers special thanks to Rabbi Naftoli Rapoport for programing all the reports and Shamai Chein, Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Simmonds and Rabbi Mendel Nemes for the incredible dedication in the shipping department.
For this rally Tzivos Hashem have produced an all new Medal Millstone film to enhance the medal ceremony. “Now children will receive their well-earned medals with honor,” says film producer Boruch Felher.
At the Rally each base commander will be giving out an expensive prize to their lucky raffle winner of this month’s raffle. The prizes range from a set of likutei sichos, to an electric scooter. At the Rally the children sit in suspense as they watch the winner’s film to see who the 50 lucky winners will be. After the Rally each base commander will hang a poster listing the winners of the month designed by Tzivos Hashem head designer Chana Cohen.
This week Tzivos Hashem are also celebrating a huge accomplishment, the completion of 200,616 lines of Tanya Baal Peh that were learned between last year Chof Daled Teves and this year Chof Daled Teves in honor of 200 years of the Alter Rebbes histalkus. At the rally chayolim get to see Colonel Menchem Mendel Levitansky visiting the Ohel of The Alter Rebbe in Hadditch and reading the duch on their behalf.
The peak of excitement comes at the end of the rally when Tzivos Hashem unveils the opening of their global Chinese auction. Children can now use the miles they have earned from filling out their mission sheets and earning achievement cards to buy tickets for amazing prizes in the auction! Some of the grand prizes include 2 tickets to Eretz Yisroel or they can choose to double their money with $3,600 worth of seforim from Kehos. Another priceless prize is a five pound note (English money) from the Rebbe.
At the end of the Rally the children will receive their weekly Hachayol magazine. Thanks to Chava Sneiderman managing editor and her editorial assistant Rivkie Franklin this week the children will enjoy an expanded edition of 16 pages including special features for the 100th Yortzeit of Rebetzen Rivka (wife of the Rebbe Maharash).
Rabbi Weinbaum cannot stop thanking the amazing staff working in Tzivos Hashem Headquarters and My Shliach. “We have been very blessed with the most amazing team of staff, Mushkie Rosenblum, the school liaison, who together with Saralaya Rockford produced this rally, with tireless efforts of Getzy and Moshe Raskin who did such an amazing job at the filming and editing. A big thank you goes to Chony Milecki for all the voice overs and to JEM for the footage of the Rebbe, and Chabad.org for broadcasting the rally.”
While there are so many people who need to be thanked, Weinbaum says at the end of the day there are three pillars behind Chayolei Tzivos Hashem, without whom all this would never be possible. The real thank you goes to Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky vice chairman of the Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch, Rabbi Yerachmiel Benjaminson Executive Director of Tzivos Hashem and Rabbi Shaya Smetana of Anash.com. These are the people who have dedicated their lives to supporting the Chinuch of our very own children.
