Over 20 children participated in an amazing week of fun, games, trips and learning at the CGI Ilford Winter Day Camp.
Led by experienced Head Counselor Rivky Keselman and aided by Devorah Breindel, Chayale Tiefenbrun and Devorah Leah Benson the theme of the week was the Days of Creation leading up to Shabbos and the campers did lots of really fun activities, games and crafts around the theme so as well as having a fantastic time, everybody learned loads too.
Trips included Ice Skating on Day 1 to get the camp off to a rocking start followed by a trip to the Museum of Childhood in Central London and the best of all, Timbuk2 Indoor Adventure House on Thursday. Campers made a wide range of arts and crafts and did a number of baking activities all connected to the theme of the week. As always, the highlight of the week was the Challah baking and Shabbos Party at the end of Camp on Friday.
Rabbi Odom Brandman, director of the camp said: “It was an amazingly productive week, the campers all had a great time and the staff were really great. It was their true dedication and enthusiasm which made the camp so successful and enjoyable for all involved and I can’t thank them enough for the work they did.”
“One parent observing one day commented, “Wow, you counsellors deserve a medal!”. Another parent said “my kids loved it so much, I will definitely send them again”.”
Another great camp for the Jewish Community of North East London & Essex and everybody is looking forward to Summer Camp already which we are praying will be in Yerushalyim together with Moshiach!
