Last year 1,832 students and yaldei Hashluchim from 45 different mosdos and 62 62 cities around the world participated in the international Chidon Sefer Hamitzvos.
“When Yitzchok came home from the Chidon, he was so proud to have been a part of such a wonderful event,” shared his parents, Rabbi Aron and Frayda Brown. “We were so impressed with how motivated he was to study and succeed in the months leading up to it. And to see how proud he was of his own accomplishments gave us, as his parents, such nachas.”
The Chidon was established in order to fulfill the Rebbe’s directive to have all men, women, and children well-versed in the mitzvos of our Torah. “Last year, our son constantly regaled us with interesting facts about many different mitzvos. He studied. We tested. He studied some more,” says Rabbi Yossi and Kenny Feigenson. “Because of the Chidon, Sefer Hamitzvos became alive in our home.”
After the three qualifying tests, 627 boys and girls traveled to Crown Heights as participants in the grand Chidon Shabbaton.
After the immense success of last year’s event, registration for Chidon 5777 is now open!
