Over the Chanukah holiday, Chabad of Costa Rica, directed by Rabbi Hershel Spalter, reached out to Jews all over Central America.
The shluchim were assisted by bochurim Binyomin Deren, Yanki Feldman and Zusha Neimark.
They lit the Menorah and visited lonely Jews in cities like Santa Ana and Jaco, holding a public lighting in San Jose, which was attended by members of the local Jewish community.
Honored with lighting the Menorah was Costa Rica’s first Jewish Vice President Luis Liberman who came with his wife.
Israel’s Ambassador Daniel Saban also attended.
