The Baja California Sur peninsula on the Western end of Mexico was bustling with Chanuka activities this year.
During the Eight days of Chanuka, parties were held daily in Baja Sur, including an Israeli Chanuka Party, Special Tourist Chanuka party and dinner, Party in S. Jose del Cabo, Grand Menorah Lighting for the first time ever right in the heart of La Paz, where, thanks to the efforts of businessman Daniel Berrebi and Yoel Goldshein, a 3 meter Menorah was built and constructed, with over 30 people attending.
The small group of La Paz Jews are beginning to develop a Jewish Community, led by Shliach Benny Hershcovich, and this was the largest event that they had so far.
Chanuka culminated in Los Cabos with a grand Motzaei Shabbos Menorah Lighting right on the Marina of Cabo S. Lucas, with tourists and locals in attendance, giving the honors of lighting the candles to supporters and dignitaries.
The highlight of the evening was the first ever “Improv Chanuka Story” acted out by random volunteers to a brilliant audio recording of the Chanuka Story.
Looks great how many showed up by the marina lighting all the way from israel

So proud of you 🙂
wow so nice to see
Los Cabos is not famous for drug lord, killings terrified tourism. It is not an Acapulco and it is not part of Mexioc city. It’s LOS CABOS. You have to come and see it. I’m sure you will like it.
For a city which is famous for drug lords, killings, police corruption, false prison allegations and brutality, terrified tourism happenings…. IT’S NICE TO SEE CHABAD WARMS UP A PARTICULAR PART OF MEXICO CITY.
Keep up the good work and efforts. May you go from strength to strength. Moshiach now!
