A thousand men, women and children from the towns of Kishinev and Beltsy joined a Lag B’Omer Parade in commemoration of the passing of the holy Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.
They marched up the main streets of Kishinev with live music and colorful signs, led by chief Rabbi of Moldova Rabbi Yosef Y. Abelsky along with the Bochurim of the Chabad Yeshiva in Kishinev to a park where they had a bonfire.
For the very first time this year a parade took place in Bendery for the people of Bendery and Tiraspol.
This parade in Moldova looks amazing. I was in that camp so many years ago and have the best memories. Very heart warming to see these photos.
