A perpetrator was arrested Motzei Shabbos after he assaulted a visibly Jewish man on Friday night in Crown Heights.
The incident first happened on Friday night while the victim was walking home from Shul near Eastern Parkway and Albany Ave when the perpetrator intentionally blocked the victim from walking and then shoved him into a metal gate, causing injuries.
Shortly thereafter, the victim flagged down the Shmira Shabbos Patrol who notified the other Shmira volunteers regarding the incident and began to search for the perpetrator but he had already left the vicinity.
On Motzei Shabbos, the victim noticed his attacker entering the Subway Station on Eastern Parkway. The victim called Shmira, who swiftly arrived and successfully tracked down the suspect in the Subway system, leading to their arrest by the NYPD’s 71st Precinct.

I am sure this attacker is shaking in his pants!
You all know that he will be released asap
?
What’s your point? Not to track him down? Not to have him arrested?
What a ridiculous comment. he’s point is this wild animal won’t face any consequences he’ll be let out in less the 24 hours and he’ll probably assault another Jewish person again. He should be put behind bars for a lot longer then a couple of hours or a day it’s disgusting what these dangerous criminals are getting away with .
Saluting Shmira for another assist!
unfortunately there were cases where they didnt want to arrest the perpetrator.
its a good thing the NYPD is doing their job.
Same demographic of people doing these crimes along with all the missing bikes
