The JGU virtual global community connects girls with live counselors, educators, performers, and friends to provide social, emotional, and spiritual support, so needed in these times.
Staff and instructors present on a daily or weekly basis. Also being coordinated to visit during the program are featured Jewish-women experts and creatives to share their talents and inspiration with the girls. Daily night activities include Musical Mondays, Talent Tuesdays, Wonder Women Wednesdays, and Thinking Thursdays, offering encounters with contemporary Women of Valor, inspirational entertainment, and teen-led games.
During a successful kickoff and first week, girls spent time bonding with new friends, learning, baking, singing, dancing, creating passion projects, playing sports, learning gymnastics, teambuilding, and more. Weekly shows and in-depth creative learning with theme activities imbue the girls with a sense of confidence and pride as a Jewish woman.

King Shlomo’s famous ode, “Aishes Chayil Mi Yimtza – A Woman of Valor, Who can find?” inspires the camp’s theme. Girls from around the world are discovering themselves and learning to actualize their potential while learning from remarkable Jewish women of the past and present.
While camps are out of the question for many around the world, participants in this innovative virtual program have transformed their summer into an opportunity for:
acquiring new skills in self-discovery, Jewish leadership;
cultivating friendships with Jewish girls worldwide;
Meeting amazing counselors and women of valor role models
overcoming blocks to creative flow and cultivating various talents and skills
creating positive change, personally and globally, and more!
Here’s What Parents are saying:
“My daughter said, She feels like a human again.”
“Temima is having an amazing summer and loves her counselors and new friends. It’s better than we imagined, thank you so much again for everything!”
“Thank you for putting a program full of meaning and creativity together!”
“Susie is getting a tremendous sense of tradition, values, morals, fun, productivity, and love and friendship for new friends that she never would have met if it wasn’t for this wonderful camp.”
Dina loves the camp. We are in LA, so for us, camp starts at 6 am and I was worried it’s not realistic. However, after the first 2 days, Dina asked me to make sure I sign her up for the upcoming week.”
Etel made so many new friendships from all around the world B”H. My bonus: I get to see her in action in camp all day. I get to hear her sing, dance & she gets to show me her artwork as soon as it’s done. She doesn’t need to wait till camp is over at the end of the day. 😉 We get to do some activities together when it comes to working in the kitchen. The staff is so wonderful. The silver linings in quarantine. It’s so beautiful to see how Camp JGU brings out all her talents and builds herself confidence too.
“My girls have been enjoying all of the bonding time with their new friends from all over the world. To Nechama and your very talented staff todah rabah!!!”
“The camp has by far surpassed any expectations I could have imagined from camp. And if in the future, one never knows, she might attend a camp run by you, or maybe seminary years down the road if you ever went that route to run.”
