local10.com reports:
A family vacationing in Miami told Local 10 News they were booted from their flight after passengers complained about their body odor.
“There’s no body odor that we have,” Yossi Adler said Thursday morning at Miami International Airport. “There’s nothing wrong with us.”
Adler, his wife and their 19-month-old daughter were preparing to fly back home to Detroit on Wednesday night when they were escorted off their American Airlines flight.
“All of a sudden, as soon as they took us off, they closed the gate and then they said, ‘Sorry, sir, some people complained you had body odor and we’re not letting you back on,'” Adler recalled.
American Airlines said in a statement: “Mr. Adler and his wife were removed from the flight when several passengers complained about their body odor,” the statement said. “They have been booked into a hotel for the night and given meal vouchers. They have been rebooked on a flight Thursday.”
The Adlers returned to Miami International Airport early Thursday in hopes they would be able to fly home.
“We stopped several people in the airport and, it’s embarrassing, but we asked them, ‘Do you think we smell? Because we just got kicked off a plane for smelling,” Jennie Adler said.
Yossi Adler said he’s frustrated and wants to know the real reason they were forced off the plane.
“I want them to own up to what really happened and to tell me the truth,” he said. “What was it?”

Im disgusted
I will never fly AA again
100% agree with you.
something should really be done about all of this sinnas chinam.
100% agree with what you said
for a .03oz spray, I can have you kicked off a plane? who cares what the cause of the “odor” is. If it bothers me, you are off the plane. This is precedent setting.
Just think about how the Adlers would feel is they read all these comments. Shame on you people!! All yiddel are klal yisroel and one should stick up for the other. where is your Achdus?! im surprised at how you are acting and i hope you change your veiws soon.
I never heard of a person getting thrown off a plane for having a body odor especially with a baby, I smell something fishy here, I think they should get a lawyer and sue
It’s supposed to be illegal for a passenger flight to take off with luggage belonging to a non passenger.
they smelled unpleasant. they weren’t flying to the antarctica. everyone would have been off the plane in a few hours and put the experience behind them. AA should have changed the seats of the people voicing complaints in the immediate area, sprayed the general vicinity and be done with it. it couldn’t have been worse than the smell of someone who barfs as a result of motion sickness, yet no one would dream of telling such a person to disembark. such is life, for heaven’s sake.
Whether the Adlers do or don’t have a problem with body odor I don’t know. I will tell you, though, that bad odor is not limited to things physical. There are times it applies to the vibes that people give off. You, sir or madam give off the most malodorous vibes I’ve had the displeasure of coming across on a Jewish website in a very long, time. You might consider engaging in some serious introspective thinking to see how you can improve the situation. My guess is that after you spend an even short amount of time in a room… Read more »
Pashut anti semetic- there’s no other answer
It hasn’t been shown or said anywhere that this family is Lubavitch, btw which group are you affiliated with? Anything Jewish by any remote chance??
They tricked this couple into getting off and closed the door right behind them and then told them they smell. Imagined they would tell a black Pearson or muslim???
If they takeh smell, what’s it going to help if they are stuck another day without their luggage and no clothes to change into? The smell will only get worse! And then they will allow them on the next plane? I smell a rat! Such baloney!!
Why leave the plane let them Shlep you off!!!
If you takke smell, Then they wouldn’t come near you.
so whats your point? that lubavitchers smell? you explained yourself very well. bravo. you sound smart too
Usually, I am EXTREMELY skeptical when I hear large companies with sooo many employees being accused of antisemitism and I feel that it discredits REAL antisemitism. HOWEVER- long story made very short, I was also kicked off an AA flight a couple of years ago while wearing my kippah and the flight attendant made an antisemitic remark as I was getting on the flight. I asked if there is somewhere where I can hang my suit which was in a garment bag (Delta usually has a closet as you walk in and they will usually accommodate if there is room)… Read more »
I smell antisemitisim here
Was there a strong body odor? It could be. A shower might have taken care if it! Possibly unwarranted request to leave plane, possibly warranted. We do not know!
that will sometimes create odors, but it seems the family would know if that applied to them or a very dirty baby diaper. I don’t understand how this happened otherwise. It could have been a group on the plane that were together and just decided to harass this couple and see how much they could get away with. In which case they should have grounds for a lawsuit based on significant discomfort, public humiliation, inconvenience, etc.
I had a similar experience when flying American and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the same flight attendant. I was flying with 3 kids, and the flight attendant kept coming around and spraying freshener near us and making faces. FYI, no one smelled!!!
I have been in many places, Shuls, school, and social events, where frum people (mostly lubavitchers) stank. Their clothes smelt unwashed and their tzitzis were yellow and their mouth stank and their armpits stank … oh, and don’t forget thé friend onion smell..it is very common for large families, where the mother is overworked by her multiple children, and her husband learns day and night. Don’t pretend like you don’t know the scénarios I’m talking about becaus im positive you can think of 10 families each in your circle. Don’t be quick to judge the passengers, no matter what, if… Read more »
See what happened to an African a couple of years ago:

Try using some before you leave the house!
For all the people who said they did smell, if it was so bad that they got kicked off a plane IT WOULD BE IMMPOSABLE FOR THE SMELL TO LEAVE OVERNIGHT
I pity you friends and family
Anti-Semitism to me!
Even if they did smell, which is probable that they didn’t, it wouldn’t change their body odor over night to the next flight.
If MULTIPLE people said that the smell was unbearable, they were probably telling the truth. Also, of course the Adlers wouldn’t realize if they did, because one can’t smell one’s own scent. One is noseblind to these things unless one wears cologne or Perfume. Also, there are diseases (e.g Diabetes) that cab give off a truly repugnant odor. This really is not likely anti semitism at all and something really was wrong. Stop crying wolf all the time when there isn’t a need to. We cry it too many times and it will cheapen the meaning of what anti semitism… Read more »
Ok everyone relax. We must hear the other side of the story. There is always his truth her truth and the ultimate real truth.
it’s not the sweet family!
Now what! It was anti Semitic! Will AA apologize will the family seek legal recourse? Probably not. And the Jewish traveler will still fly AA.Boycott AA and stop tweeting.
Gut Shabbos
Everyone travels with earplugs.
If you have sensitivity to smell travel with nose plugs
Or maybe the airlines should have them handy and give them out
If someones snore is bothering you, you change seats or put in earplugs. Smell is no different.
The same for all five senses.
The baby could have needed a diaper change or they could, have actually smelled bad, but that’s not a reason to kick someone off a flight. I’ve sat next to plenty people who’s smell I couldn’t stand, but you breathe through your mouth and move on with your life
They really should sue the airline. Obviously anti semitism
They didn’t smell on their second flight?
The hotel had good strong showers?
Lol…
THIS IS PLAIN AND POSHUT ANTI- SEMITISM!
THEY LOOK LIKE A FRUM JEWISH COUPLE AND SOME PEOPLE ON THAT AIRLINE WERE JUST JEW-HATERS!
SUE THEM FOR SUCH INSANE TREATMENT!
😡😡😡
You wish it
That is no excuse for American Airlines to kick them off. I guarantee you if it was an African American person who people complained about they would NEVER have kicked them off. They have the responsibility to do right by all passengers not just listening to some and doing as they wish.
There is no way this family actually smelled THAT bad, enough to get kicked off. AA cant just listen to their passengers opinion and do as they wish.
Anyone else think the staff guy in the video looks like a mix of stalin and sadam yimach shmom
Does everything that happens and isn’t perfect have to be met with outrage? Everything is always outrage out rage outrage. It’s a bit much.
If I were Yossi Adler I’d be pretty happy at all the money I’m about to make hehehe
I think the other term “Dirty Jew” and took it literally. No, the Adlers probably do not smell, but they decided to make it up based on the term “Dirty Jew”. Antisemitism, am I right?
BS”D I was once one a flight to CA and the person next to me had a purfume on that at 30,000 feet high surely smelled all the way back to the airport, it was giving me a headache, what did I do, I asked the stew to change my seat which she did
You are a funny man indeed. Attempting to leverage everything that moves for some vague political point.
Shame on you!
Look deep inside yourself, and bet Mechilla from
Der Aibershter!
First if all, a smell is not a reason to boot a family from a plane.
First of all again, I highly doubt that they smelled.
Matybe, if anything at all, the baby had a dirty diaper
I have unfortunate news for you.
American Airlines crew, are VERY BIG anti-semites.
If it was possible, I would put in the pictures here, of ALL the disgusting, hateful,anti-semitiic workers I encountered, and conversations,( which would take too long)!
This is not a problem with the airline, it’s a problem with society, American airlines have a responsibility to ALL of their passengers not just the Jewish ones. They may or may not have smelled bad, but I’ve been on plenty flight with pretty smelly people, and I’ve never complained because that’s one of the things that you need to be prepared for when you fly. Let’s stop acting like victims every time this happens to a Jewish person, this isn’t an attack on Jewish people, it’s just the airline weighing the situation and seeing that making 100 ppl happy… Read more »
In response to number 2- Do you also believe Jews are money hungry? STINGY? aND ALL THE OTHER NEGATIVE STATEMENTS JEW HATERS USE TO DESCRIBE US. Where is your ahavas Yisroel? That entire situation is pure anti-semitism. Even if possibly the baby had a diaper that needed to be changed, this would surely NOT have occurred with a wasp couple..
You would think AOC would be all over this story, defending the individuals harassed for …, I have been many time on an airplane when there were people who odors were not to my liking and they were not harassed by other passengers or crew. Shame on America’s Airlines
Why did they give them “Meal Vouchers” i would have given them Vouchers to purchase Soap, Shampoo, and Deodorant.
unless they really did not smell bad, well i guess we may find out one day.
A Gutten Shabbes.
Where is your ahavas yisroel you sound like a kapo supporting anti Semitic behaviour
Something does not smell right with this story
What a terrible embarrassment for them
Hope they sue and may they shmeck of money!!!
I’ve been on Air India flights countless times and I’ve always been absolutely fine with the very strong smell of curry. I happen to have Indian friends who are extremely refined and have absolutely no bone to pick with them. I highly doubt passengers of any airline have to go through a smell detector .. this sounds like blatant anti Semitism – not on the part of the airline so I prob wouldn’t boycott them bc you can’t blame the many on account of the few, but certainly those responsible for this outrageous behavior need to be put through the… Read more »
Really?? These cases are so rare that for passengers to actually request this from airline staff it would need to be unbearable. This Yid looks like a fine person who is well groomed and would never make the unbearable list. I stand by them. Something else is at issue here and I smell something of a different sort…
BS”D something smells fishy
how bad can a person smell already that they get kicked off a plane??? to # 2, i think they shouldnt be judged and i think american airlines is a wacked company and not reliabe.
random Q – where the food vouchers even kosher?
Maybe they taakeh smelled really bad and either they never asked people In the airport or they just didn’t want to be mean
What a disgraceful behavior of that airline. We should boycott American Airlines. This is really serious anti-semitism, and extremely disappointing that the airline behaved in this horrific manner. We should not be silent-we should publicize this incident and give it proper attention. I feel sickened from this incident- that this could happen in the United States.
