Izzy Eidelman, known for his kosher chain of eateries in Crown Heights, will open a new fried chicken restaurant in the neighborhood, Bklyner reported.
The owner of the renowned popular barbeque joint Izzy’s Smokehouse and the more recently opened Mexican spot Izzy’s Taqueria, will open Izzy’s Fried Chicken at 262 Kingston Avenue (between Lincoln Place and St. Johns Place), in June.
Edelman, 31, said he’s working with a network of people who’ll help create the menu, including food consultant and former Basil Chef Jose Soto.
The menu will include Nashville-style and traditional fried chicken and fresh biscuits. As for sides, expect potato and macaroni salad, onion rings and more, Bklyner reported.
The restaurant will seat about 40 inside and a little over 20 people can dine in the rear patio. Patrons can expect a chill vibe with recorded music throughout the roughly 1,200 sq. ft. space.
Beer and wine will be served on the premises pending state approval.
Izzy’s Barbecue and Izzy’s Taqueria are both under the OK supervision. The new restaurant’s supervision has not been announced.

The Crown Heights Beis Din’s (or other Lubavitcher Botei Dinim) hechser is on the meat – their mashgiach was there, but more so Lubavitcher Shechitah means that the Shochet was a Lubavitcher, not that… Read more »
It would be nice if the eateries that open in CH would serve Lubavitcher shchita…
It’s insensitive to the community to do otherwise.
Anyone know when it’s going to open

Been waiting for a new restaurant in CH, too few in my opinion.

Can some one perhaps come up with a healthy wholesome vegan place similar to The Carrot in miami Surfside
