“I tried hard, but I know I can do even better,” says Asher, an eleven-year-old student and participant in Chidon Sefer Hamitzvos.
Asher shares his aspirations and tips with a Chidon proctor before he enters the room to take his second qualification exam. His knitted brow and the well-worn Yahadus book tucked under his arm tell of his determination and focus.
“When I get my test grade, I know that it’s just half the story,” Asher explains. “If you want to commit yourself to something this big, you have to know that what you’re doing is important,” he says. “And mostly, believe in yourself—that you can do it.”
Asher and hundreds of others around the world are now onto their next and final round of Chidon testing. Scroll through the photos; see the earnest devotion of these children. They, like Asher, are doing their very best, and still striving for more.
