Am I alone?

Am I the only one who thinks that the more we think we are going to accomplish with these ideas and pushing and pressuring that all we are doing is going backwards?

These methods of publicly speaking and harassing were never the Chabad way. These were issues that were and should be dealt with in private.

Since we started to use methods from other places we began going downhill.

So let’s stick to our roots and get back on track.

do you have a better idea? The old method of 20 years ago didn’t work, and led to all of today’s mother’s who don’t care at all about tznius. At least this way the good girls are getting positive reinforcement.

These cards were given very randomly. All summer long my daughter complained that other girls her age were wearing short sleeves, or not socks etc and I replied that different families have different standards. It would have been nice for her to get some of these cards and reinforce our beliefs. But not once did she receive a tznius card… and yes she was in BRDC and we were in CH all summmer.

If u want fo talk abt the “other shitos” the usual issue is more that they speak about the negative. Going to gehenem etc. CV”sh. Here we are talking abt the positive effect, and doing posotive reinforcement. Its inspiring, its mktivating its healthy and it even works!!

My daughters were always tznius and got their eight cards, but not the main card that you bring into the storeto get ice cream. The camp said we have no more. If i knew there was a raffle this week, why couldn’t my daughter s be a part of it for the grand prize

as a mother maybe you could have called those that give it out and told them to please pay attention to your daughter who is trying hard….esp when our kids go to massive schools its moms jobs to direct attention when your child needs it

and if that doesnt work take her to the ice cream store yourself and tell her Hashem sees everything and that you are so proud of her.

The success of project Eden in our day camp!

– “The campers were really excited to participate and loved the ice cream cards. Their was no negativity involved, only positive encouragement. Many changed their way of dress and began coming to day camp in proper Jewish attire, that represents chabad. A parent in our day camp generously sponsored more exciting incentives, which we raffled off.”~Evergreen

The positive affect of project Eden in Monsey!

“Lots of girls were inspired to begin wearing tights on a daily biases. A girl from a non-religious home, who lives in Florida was spending her summer with her grandmother in Monsey. She joined the chabad day camp and was introduced the mitzvah of tznius through project Eden. At the first day of the contest she came to day camp dressed with tzinius attire, including tights. She’s been dressing tziniusdik since.” A parent from Monsey day camp commented to the head counselor, ” I wear socks, but my daughter is asking me for tights since she wants to join project… Read more »

Wrong on so many levels

Wrong on so many levels

1. Using food as a reward is a bad idea. Children should be taught that food is fuel for energy and learn how to enjoy treats such as ice cream in moderation. We have so many problems in Orthodox Judaism with food issues on both sides of the spectrum – Anorexia to Obesity and using food as a reward does not help this situation. 2. You are making tznius negative and placing inappropriate blame on women. Publicly associating military success with the modesty of Orthodox Jewish women is awfully one-sided. Where are the men in this equation? Why are women… Read more »

Proud and happy to be a Lubavitcher!

My zaidy, Reb Yakov Friedman became a Lubavitcher. People asked him why and he answered “Lubavitch is the frumest thing.” Let’s not only call ourselves Lubavitch, but live up to our name! Bezichos noshim tzidkonius nigalu avosinu mimitzryaim uvzchusom asiden lihigoel! MOSHIACH NOW!

Let's each do our part to make our community have a positive outlook on tzinius!

Let's each do our part to make our community have a positive outlook on tzinius!

The Rebbe wants us all to be his shluchim. Please act on your ideas of how to bring an awareness to our community about the mitzvah of Tzinius. The Rebbe told us to learn from Kimchos to cover our hair, so that our hair shouldn’t be seen by the walls of our home. This the Rebbe said has a direct positive affect on our children and grandchildren even before they are born. We are so lucky to be Chassidim of the Rebbe. We should feel proud when dressing to the highest standards of tzinius.

You are not alone. I think that tznius is about discretion and there is plenty of room for improvement for that in many areas, including being discreet in improving tznius!!!!!!!!!

a great start!

a great start!

I want to first say that this is a great start! Lets keep the POSITIVE reinforcement going!
to all those who have issues with the program
a. Speak up with good ideas for change and don’t just complain
and I am sure you will be heard
b. To those who say tznius is not just about dress, open a sefer and do a little learning, get your head out of the sand and stop Convincing yourself that he’s staring at you because you are such a good person- puleese!

Many blessing!!!

Many blessing!!!

Girls who dress approproatly prove that they have self dignity!!!
Those who flaunt their flesh prove that they are not dignified anf have nothing else to present!

Rambam to #17

Rambam says little children should be rewarded with food! That’s what they love and that’s what makes them realize that Torah is sweet before they are mature enough to appreciate how very special the Torah is.
When your 3 year old entered yeshiva for the first time, didn’t you follow the time honored minchag of dropping sweets on him and having him lick the honey off the alef beis?

first of all the Tznius here is very bad so you think when they get older they’re going to be Tznius or on Tznius come on give me a break

maybe you should teach the younger teenage girls and young mothers how to be like you because I don’t think they don’t understand how to dress properly in the streets good work keep up the good work
