A Chanukah On Ice Menorah Lighting Ceremony took place on Wednesday, the first night of Chanukah during the Florida Panthers-New York Rangers game.
Chazzan Yossi Lebovics sang the Chanukah blessings, and the Menorah was lit by Rabbi Pinny Andrusier, Rabbi Chaim Lipskar, Rabbi Eli Lipskar, Rabbi Yanky Denburg, BRS Rabbi Efrem Goldberg and Posnack JCC Exec. Director Scott Ehrlich.
In attendance were Panthers’ President & CEO Michael Yormark, Dir. Group Sales Mackie Feierstein, and Panthers Mascot Stanley C Panther. The Menorah Lighting was shown on FOX TV’s live broadcast of the game.
Chabad of Florida will also be lighting the Menorah on Tuesday, December 3 during the game when the Championship Miami Heat play the Detroit Pistons at AA Arena.
Junior Jewish Star Akiva Schechter will be singing the National Anthem and Chazzan Yossi Lebovics will be singing the Chanukah blessings.
Other highlights will feature Kef in concert, Kosher food and many of the children lining up on court to greet Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and the rest of the star NBA players.
Discounted tickets are still available at www.JewishHeritageNight.com or 3055048440.

Can we please see it? By far the best part especially since the crowd was at its fullest unlike Menorah lighting when crowd was out for intermission. It was a good size crowd for the Panthers. 70% full which is big for them.
🙂
can we see a video of the anthem!
