“The soul is ruled by the mind, the heart and… the liver,” states Rabbi Asher Crispe, a futurist and technology expert who has 20 years of experience as an educator, and travels to speak in Jewish and academic institutions.
In a scholarly and humorous style, he explained at last summer’s National Jewish Retreat how the new world of neuroscience and the old world of Torah and Kabbalah are joined.
Discussing the latest innovations in Neuroscience, he says that humans can now use thought alone to control robots, and operate wheelchairs and that an internal monologue can be turned into computerized speech.
“When learning something, new neuro- pathways are created in the brain. It is a myth that intelligence is static; we can transform our cognitive ability anytime in life,” said Crispe, who runs Interinclusion.org which perpetuates the arts, sciences, literature, and music through Jewish tradition.

A Rabbi with lots of secular knowledge are a bit hard to come by these days. People find it very impressive when a Rabbi shows that he is not only well versed in the Talmud but in other areas as well. They see that they are not closed minded and are impressed by their knowledge.
This guy is good.
