I can relate. What I do is firstly break up the video into topics by times. Listen for a few seconds catch the topic skip five minutes, if it’s still the same topic skip another five, if it changes I go back a bit and see where the new topic started. This doesn’t take more than a minute or two. Then I go to the topics I want to listen to, hear the beginning (question), skim through some of the explanation and listen to the conclusion. Many abusive fathers use the kibud av mantra.It is extremely abusive and damaging.
If they can’t treat their children with basic decency one should not have to respect them.
They use this as a ploy and tactic to be listened to.
Then the kids feel guilty for by listening etc.
