The Witness to History exhibit featuring Jewish artifacts dating back to ancient times was on display on New York’s fabled Fifth Avenue.
The antiquities, manuscripts and rare prints were presented at Chabad of Midtown, with over 300 individuals attending the three-day immersive exhibit.
Rabbi Reuven Goldstein – director and curator of Witness to History – tours the country bringing the collection to Jewish institutions.
“We are honored to host this world-class archive at our Fifth Avenue center. Across the street from the New York Public Library collections, this unique collection showcases the rich history and heritage of our people through the ages,” said Rabbi Joshua Metzger, director of Chabad of Midtown Manhattan.
The 3 day exhibit was kicked off with a wine and cheese reception created by Benzi’s.
Brocha Chana Metzger marveled at how people stopped in their tracks to view the fascinating materials on display.
Rabbi and Mrs. Metzger thanked Rabbi Asher Webb, director of The Midtown Kollel, Mendy Weisz and Yudel Rader of the Chabad Midtown team for helping organize this memorable educational program.
“The incredible energy and sheer volume of daily visitors at Chabad of Midtown make it a natural setting for the Witness to history exhibit,” said Rabbi Goldstein.
