Did you ever watch a family in the midst of tragedy? Did you ever stand next to a mother when she gets that phone call? Did you ever listen to the weeping of a young woman at her husband’s funeral? Did you ever feel the paralyzing fear as a loved one is ripped from this world?
Hopefully, you never did.
Most of us have never been in the wake of tragedy- because Misaskim is there. Quietly, discreetly, volunteers set up homes, move mountains to arrange burials, lift the spirits of young yesomim, and step in- in whatever way possible.
Yet, Misaskim is so much more than the trucks and chairs that people recognize.
