Dear brothers, the war here in Ukraine continues and, for over a year now, we are feeling the effects. Some of the time we are here without electricity and heating and we suffer from a lack of basic supplies.
In a few short weeks we will all celebrate Pesach together, along with our families and people closest to us. Here in Odessa, there are over 120 children, growing up in the Odessa “Family” orphanage, who need clothing and food for the chag. These are children who’ve become accustomed to the sounds of bombings and explosions, children who spend days sitting in bomb shelters. We want to help them be able to forget, even if just for a few moments, the suffering and anxieties they have been going through.
It is impossible to describe the feeling of a child growing up without a father and mother. Here at the “Family” orphanage in Odessa, we make sure to give them the feeling of “family” every day and especially on holidays, because to these 120 children, we are their “family”.
Come and help us take part in bringing joy to these children and you, too, will be part of the “family” for the children of the orphanage in preparation for Pesach.
We ask for your help and support for the sweet children, so that we can buy them clothes and food for the holiday in your name, so that they can celebrate this holiday just like the rest of us.
I know the activities of Chabad Odessa, and the blessed work for the orphans, a mitzvah to help them
