Stephan Weil, Prime Minister of Lower Saxony and leader of the Social Democratic Party in the German state, heard about the current state and future plans of Chabad in Hanover, the capital and largest city of Lower Saxony.
Weil met last week with Shlucha Mrs. Shterna Wolff who recently assumed the full-time position of Director of Chabad in Hanover after the tragic passing of her husband, Rabbi Benny Wolff OBM.
Mrs. Wolff and her family received wide praise and support for their decision to remain in Hanover and continue to serve the local Jewish community after experiencing personal loss.
Joining the meeting were fellow Shluchim Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal, rabbi of the Jewish community in Berlin, and Rabbi Shlomo Bistritzky, Director of Chabad Lubavitch in Hamburg.
The conversation was about continuing the work and activities of Chabad Hannover, they said, adding that they “stand behind Rebbetzin Shterna with full support and wish her and her community all the best.”
In this zechus moshiach should come right now!
Well done!
