Hall Turned Into ‘Magical Garden’

Every Rosh Chodesh, Russian Junior Nshei Chabad makes beautiful farbrengens in a private home. Last Sunday, January 28, 2018, on the 13th of Shvat, Russian Junior Nshei Chabad gathered together from all corners of Brooklyn, Queens, New Jersey, Monsey and even New Square to celebrate 18 years since the birth of the organization.

The hall of the Lubavitcher Yeshiva was transformed into a Magical Garden, following the theme of “Basi Lgani.”

For many months, Nurit Sarytchev and Rochel Faygen, heads of RJNC, have been working closely with the top designer in Crown Heights, Chana Komarovsky, to create a magical garden which was portrayed in Basi Lgani as a “bridal chamber”.

The goal of the evening was to bring the Shechina down to this world as the Rebbe said that we, the seventh generation, eventually would. Women of RJNC, including their husbands and their children, came to volunteer in the making of this a magical-dream evening, become a reality.

The evening began with a musical tribute for Mrs. Chaya Yavich, obm, who was a member of RJNC, leader of the musical program for more than 12 years of every Rosh Chodesh farbrengen. The song was composed and sung by Miriam Ilyayev and arranged by Clara Landsman.

Mrs. Nurit Sarytchev taught the last Maimor “Basi Legani” that the Rebbe said in 5748. By creating the physical and spiritual surroundings we dived into learning Basi Legani with Nurit, Halochas with Rochel Faigen, Rambam with Rivkah Sidorov, Shiduchim and Survival of Yiddisher neshoma in Soviet Russia with Leah Yechielov. In addition, a beautiful surprise was prepared by members of RJNC; an Ensemble – Choir, led by Clara Landsman had all the woman clapping and enjoying the performance.

Rabbi Leibel Groner, the guest speaker of the evening, spoke about the power of women to influence her family, especially when it comes to believing in tzadikim. He shared a few personal stories that touched the women’s hearts. The outstanding, mouthwatering delicacies of Turk Catering was enjoyed by all. The gourmet food, together with the unique, virtuoso, one of the best, Benshimon music, rocked the house and had every single lady on the dance floor, dancing with tambourines, longing for the redemption to come. As a result of this uniquely combined beauty in gashmius and ruchnius, many women took upon themselves hachlotos to start attending classes to learn Chassidus and to support organization monthly. That way the excitement at the Farbrengen turned into the daily action that will last whole year.

Awards, Thank-You’s, and of course a beautiful auction at the end, wrapped up the evening, leaving every single women walking out with gifts to take home. Every person left rejuvenated, inspired, as she fed her body and soul with the sparks of a true Magical Garden. Thank you to everyone who made this beautiful evening such a success!
