Hadas Malka was a beautiful young woman, only 23 years old. She died a hero of Israel and the Jewish people everywhere around the world.
On Friday, June 16, there was a coordinated stabbing and shooting terror attack in two areas of the Old City in Jerusalem. Hadas was part of a group of Border Police officers rushing to the Muslim Quarter to defend another group of Border Police under attack by two terrorists armed with a knife and homemade submachine gun.
Hadas was stabbed repeatedly by a third terrorist on Sultan Suleiman Street near the Damascus Gate as she tried to help her comrades.
She was rushed to Hadassah Hospital, Mount Scopus, where doctors desperately tried to save her life, but she succumbed to her wounds.
Rabbi Menachem Kutner, Director of Chabad’s Terror Victims Project (CTVP), accompanied by Rabbi Zalman Cohen, Chabad Shaliach of Ezer, as well as the Shaliach from Moshav Givati, went to bring comfort and support to Hadas’s grief-stricken parents, David and Geula.
Her parents, their eyes brimming over with tears, spoke of how committed and devoted their precious daughter was to Israel and to defending Jerusalem and the Jewish people from terror.
Her mother noted that just six months ago, Hadas had gone to visit the resting place of the Lubavitcher Rebbe in New York.
CTVP will stay with the Malka family as they struggle to heal from the devastating loss of their daughter. May they be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
I’m literally in tears!!!! Moshiach Now!!!
Last Shabbos we read the mishnah exhorting us to pray for the well-being of the government. I encourage the saying of Psalm 130 for our brave men & women in the IDF daily. May H bring comfort to the Malka family.
Please publish Mishnayos list with her complete name and father’s name so every Yid will learn for her neshama as the letters of Neshama are the same as mishna. Also Eliyahu and Halivy have the same letters so we are ready For our Rebbe MHM.Nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
May Hashem comfort her parents and family and friends.
There are no words that can express such a great loss and tragedy.
I’m not exactly sure what you mean by saying that there’s a “tremendous Simcha in shamoyim” over the murder of a Jew. Especially a Jew who gave her life to protect others. To me: you sound like the people who felt a “tremendous joy” on Gimmel Tammuz and decided to break out into song and dance, directly in front of 770.
I’m sure you meant well, but in my humble opinion: that was a very poor choice of words.
What a special neshama! lets all take upon ourselves to be better in our yiddishkiet in her memory!
It is a clear message of Hadas Malka B”DH level of Emunah and Bitachon.
A True Soldier in (Hashem) Army
we must have a big change in the holy land …
We need Moshiach soooo badly .. it doesn’t look like much will change until his arrival.. We don’t put these terrorists in their place and show them whose boss..If we would just show strength not weakness. Hashem Yishmor
