Members of the London community gathered for a Rosh Chodesh Kislev seudah and farbrengen, organized by the shluchim to Yeshiva Gedola of London.
The guest speaker was Rabbi Chaim Schochet of Crown Heights who flew to London for the event.
The program began with opening remarks from Mashpia Rabbi Mendel Gordon of the Yeshiva Gedola, who called upon Rabbi Sufrin to lead the recital of the rebbes Kapitel in Tehillim and Kapitel 20 for the honored Rabbi Nachman Sudak, England’s Head Shliach, who became ill over Shabbos and whom we wish a speedy recovery iy”h.
Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Hertz then gave divrei brocho to the crowd of over 250 anash and bochurim.
A video of the Rebbe was played followed by a sumptuous gala dinner.
Rabbi Leibish Heller inspired with a Dvar Torah.
The illustrious Rabbi Schochet then enthralled the audience with his emotionally engaging stories and by his riveting words that inspired the audience with thoughts of belief and faith returned.
Stirred by the charismatic Rabbi Schochet, the crowd was then electrified into spontaneous dancing.
A lavish dessert was served followed by bentching and a farbrengen with Rabbi Schochet that lasted until the early hours of the morning.
Special thanks to Rabbi Schochet for deeply enriching our community to grow in their learning of Chassidus, and to the community for making the event so memorable. Also special thanks to shluchim Aaron Wolko and Shmuli Kendall for their work on making this event a reality.
