A Chabad delegation visited the home of the Bobover Rebbe, Rabbi Mordechai Dovid Unger, who is mourning the passing of his mother.
The visit took place on Sunday, in Boro Park, New York.
The delegation included Rabbi Leibel Groner, secretary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, and his nephew Rabbi Leibel Baumgarten, Director of Chabad Lubavitch of the Hamptons; Rabbi Yaakov Schwei, member of Badatz Crown Heights, and his secretary Shmuel Kraus.
Also attending were Chanina Sperlin, member of Vaad Hakahal Crown Heights and Eli Slavin, an activist.
The Bobover Rebbe spends his summer at a seaside resort in The Hamptons. He prays at the Chabad House and has developed a friendship with Rabbi Baumgarten.
The Bobover Rebbe’s uncle (mother’s brother) was Reb Elchayim Roitblatt OBM, father of Reb Shmerel and Yossel Roitblatt of Crown Heights.

R’ Elychaim is actually a brother-in-law, not a brother. It is his wife, Chaya Sara, who was sisters with the Bobover Rebbe’s mother A”H.
R’ Elychaim adopted his wife’s name name “Roitblatt” while fleeing during WW2.
