The gravesite of the known Chabad Chossid Rabbi Chaim Bentzion Raskin OBM was found just a day before his 80th Yartzeit, his family said.
“Today is the 80th Yahrtzeit of my great-great grandfather, Rabbi Chaim Bentzion Raskin, of blessed memory. He passed away in Leningrad in 1939,” Rabbi Yanki Jacobs, a Chabad Shliach in Amsterdam, Netherlands, wrote on Facebook.
Jacobs described Rabbi Raskin, the patriarch of the great Raskin family, as “a very pious and extraordinary Chossid.”
“By tremendous Divine providence, his grave was just found yesterday! My cousin Rabbi Levi Mondshine in Smolensk immediately arranged a Minyan to go there and say Kaddish,” Jacobs wrote.

Amazing hashkocho protis!
Wow!
The Jewish past in Russia and today’s world seem so far apart. This video shows a connection between the two, and how the life and memory of someone who lived long ago is significant and honored. What a zchus to do this mitzvah.
