The U.N. Security Council is strongly condemning the terrorist attack aimed at Israel in India and the attempted terrorist attack in Georgia.
The bombing in New Delhi injured the wife of an Israeli diplomat and her driver while an attempted attack the same day in Georgia was thwarted.
The Security Council said late Thursday that “any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable regardless of their motivations, whenever and by whomsoever committed.”
It reaffirmed the need to combat threats to peace caused by terrorist acts.
Israel’s U.N. Ambassador Ron Prosor, who had urged the council to condemn the terrorist acts, welcomed the statement, saying “after seven years of silence, the Council has finally spoken against the terrorism that the Israeli people face every day.”
The UN condemnation came after Prosor sent a letter to both the Security Council and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, requesting that a strong and clear message be transmitted to Iran, who he said, is directly responsible for the actions.
Prosor also mentioned a botched bombing in Thailand that occurred a day after the two attacks in India and Georgia, which Thai defense officials said was meant to target Israeli officials.
MOSHIACH NOW!
The UN continues to be deaf, dumb and blind to terrorist attacks against Jews! The only difference here was that those targeted were, like them, diplomats. May we see “Harneenu goyim amo, kee dam avaduv yikom…” im Mashiach Tzidkaynu, now!
