A special convention for young Chabad women and post-seminary age girls will take place during the upcoming Chof Beis Shvat convention in Crown Heights.
Now in its fourth year, the Kinus is being organized by two girls currently on Shlichus, Chayala Mentz of Bel Air, CA and Sara Elharrar of Los Angeles, CA.
During the last three years’ events, hundreds of girls gathered in Crown Heights to socialize with friends, enjoy gourmet meals, and receive a spiritual lift from workshops, sessions and events tailored just for them.
Many of the girls in this age group are already working as Shluchos, assisting in Chabad Houses around the world with programming, Hebrew Schools, Bar/Bat Mitzvah lessons and preschools, organizers told COLlive.
The sessions will tackle topics that are helpful to both girls who are on Shlichus for the year, as well as those who are looking to enhance their knowlege of chinuch and hashkafa.
“This is an incredible opportunity for young girls who are out of seminary, single or newly-married who want a weekend to re’JEW’vinate,” says Mentz.
On Friday night, a Chassidic farbrengen will be held with Mrs. Rivka Slonim, Shlucha in Binghamton University and renowned speaker on women’s issues.
A highlight of the program will be a Motzoei Shabbos concert with popular singer Chanale Fellig, which will be preceeded by a Melava Malka with Mrs. Miriam Lipskier, Shlucha to Emory University. Participants will also have the opportunity to join the Kinus Hashluchos Gala Banquet Sunday evening.
Other speakers in the program are Rabbi Dov Yona Korn, Rabbi Mendel Samuels, Rabbi Yaakov Rosenthal, Rabbi Dov Ber Pinson, Mrs. Goldie Plotkin, Mrs. Gitty Rosenfeld, Rabbi Yossi Paltiel and Mrs. Tammy Holtzman.
Workshop sessions are open on a first come first serve basis.

YOU ROCK KEEP IT UP!
Ps. Why is Rabbi Viglers picture posted if he’s not on the list of speakers?
love u!
That’s maybe why they changed their name to young womens Kinus
Nothing to do with this program, I’m sure its a wonderful event for the right person, but I’m just wondering… when is a girl no longer a post sem girl? Is it when she gets married? Reaches a certain age? So what happens to the women who are not married and cant join the womens kinus, yet are already closer to 30 and therefore not a “post sem girl?”
Every project you touch turns to gold. You ROCK!!!
