I will iyH do that now. Just want to say after reading over 200 comments about this, i was expecting to read about a push, demand or hachlotos about learning inyonei geula umoshiach. I think maybe one person took this on. The Rebbe MHM stressed this over and over again that the clear and direct path to Moshiach is through learning about it. This bochur was koching in the Rebbe’s inyonim and the most obvious message to us is to take a lesson from him and do the same. There should be i.g.m. in every single school, it should be… Read more »

Write To His Parents!
February 24, 2014 5:00 pm

I would like to suggest over the next few days as we collect our thoughts, people should post comments addressed to his parents. No doubt that it would be a source of great ניחומין to them. The most helpful element in bearing the pain of a personal tragedy is knowing that others care. For his parents to read of how everyone thought so highly of their beloved בן יחיד, -how special he was considered in our community, would be of enormous comfort to people who must feel so alone now. briefly met
February 24, 2014 4:52 pm

I briefly met Gedalya when I spent a Shabbos at Morristown. He was very warm and welcoming and I wish I could have come to know him more. may his neshama have an aliyah

#7 said it, 'like it is'..

Agree #7. Aside from praying his parents somehow find comfort while enduring this great tragedy, I hope they get physical retribution to make their suffering a little less unbearable. Though suffering they will be until mashiach comes. Just a horrific, tragic story. And the worst part being that it could (have) be(en) any one of us! BDE

IT WAS NOT A 'CAR ACCIDENT'
February 24, 2014 1:06 pm

He was properly walking a crosswalk on a green light and had the right of way, when a truck that should have been looking out for pedestrians on a busy intersection hit him. Please tell it like it is.
