A classic book that helped many Jewish children learn about the Bais Hamikdash and its construction and has been out of print is now becoming available again.
The Illustrated Mishnayos Meseches Middos was first published by Rabbi Yehuda Benchemhoun in 1981 and was the standard publication for study during the Three Weeks of mourning after Jerusalem’s destruction.
A landmark at the time, the 62-page book had punctuated Hebrew text with English translation, accompanied by drawing and an annotated text. It was published in French as well.
This carefully researched book of the Mishna’s description of the Beis Hamkdosh that was useful for children and scholars alike has been sold out for the last 10 years.
Teachers credited the simplified explanations, detailed diagrams and accurate illustrations based on the commentaries as succeeding in making the learning of Mishnayos Middos a real pleasure.
This week, Tzivos Hashem International received permission from Rabbi Benchemhoun to make it available for download and printing free of charge. It was given exclusively to COLlive.com.
“This book is great for kids learning mishnayos Middos as camp and will likely be in high demand,” says Michael Albukerk, Managing Director of Tzivos Hashem Crafts Workshops.
