With over 250 Mechanchos registered at this time, teachers in all roles of Chinuch have just one last remaining day to sign up for the 4th Annual Chabad Chinuch Convention and Retreat – the Kinus Mechanchos Chabad. The two day program on י”ב – י”ג תמוז / July 15-16 will focus on the privilege and responsibility of tending the Rebbe’s garden in Chinuch, through over forty professional workshops, farbrengens, learning, networking and more.
The program features such diverse experts as Rabbi Simon Jacobson discussing how to make Chassidus relevant in our students’ lives, Dr. Akiva Perlman on abuse and addiction, and Mrs. Nechamy Segal on practical Kriah strategies for all students. Special focus tracks feature sessions for early childhood and leadership, as well as sessions geared towards grade level and experience.
Registrants include Mechanchos from South Africa, Australia, Israel, Canada and throughout the United States. They are drawn to the Kinus, many of them repeatedly, for the tools and empowerment being offered as well as the inspiration and chizuk to take them through another school year. Mrs. Alyson Feldman, the event manager with years of running programs behind her, looks forward to pampering teachers with healthy and delicious food, private swimming hours, a full day resource fair and other special touches. The Gala Chinuch Banquet will feature MC Mrs. Devora Krasnianski, original music performed by Mrs. Chaya Bracha Rubin, and a surprise feature called “Perspectives: What Chabad Chinuch Means to Me,” followed by a Yud Beis Tammuz farbrengen with Rabbi Shimon Raichik – offering our deserving and dedicated teachers a smorgasbord of nourishment for mind, body and soul.
While it will still be possible to register for daytime programming afterwards, registration for the full convention, including a highly subsidized hotel stay at the Crowne Plaza, Stamford, closes tonight – Wednesday, ל’ סיון / July 3rd. Mechanchos can sign up at www.chinuchconvention.org, and contact [email protected] / 718-663-7215 with any questions.
“With the Rebbe’s brachos so evident year after year, we are looking forward to this being the most incredible Kinus yet,” says Rabbi Zalman Shneur, founding director of the Menachem Education Foundation, which provides this Kinus year after year. Adds Mrs. Chanah Rose, educational director and Kinus coordinator, “It’s really the Mechanchos who come – young and old, new and veteran – who give this Kinus the feeling that we are all family, all doing our utmost fulfill this incredible Shlichus, together.”
