A shooting which took place in Crown Heights early Wednesday morning led to the NYPD’s discovery of a firearm on Kingston Avenue, the neighborhood’s main thoroughfare.
At approximately 5:00 am, the two non Jewish women, one of whom resides on East New York Avenue, got into a dispute, following which one shot the other in the leg.
After canvassing the area for the weapon used in the shooting, at approximately 8:00 am police discovered a firearm in the dumpster outside the House of Glatt meat store on the corner of Kingston Avenue and Crown Street.
Police removed the weapon from the area as part of the ongoing investigation.
