On Motzei Shabbos, 4 Iyar, Tzemach Tzedek of Sydney launched this year’s weekly Father and Son learning program.
Tzemach Tzedek together with Adass and Bet Yosef, kicked off this year’s Father and Son program with learning, prizes, a story and refreshments.
Children of all ages attended the program and learned Gemora, Chumash or Mishnayos with their father.
Danny Winterfield, the coordinator of the project said “it was beautiful to hear the sound of learning throughout the shul.”
A Chassidic story was told by Rabbi Menachem Chanan, Rabbi of Adass Yisroel, who also blessed the children to continue in their learning and exclaimed how he looks forward to seeing everyone again next week.
A Gift voucher to Golds Book Store and other prizes were raffled and everyone washed and enjoyed pizza.
The program concluded with bentching, followed by the handing out of a gift for each attending child.
The week’s learning was in honor of the yartzeit of Yosef ben Reuven Reuben OBM.
Next week, sushi will be provided for those who participate.

I was a bochur in Sydney and for those that dont know, Tzemach Tzedek is probably the only place in the world where you have Chabad ( Tzemach Tzedek) Ashkenaz ( Adass) and Sephardi ( Bet Yosef ) all in the same building working together.
