A large crowd of men and women gathered this past Thursday for the presentation of the Spanish Gutnick Jumash held at the luxurious Eijal Shimon hall in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The evening began with a delicious buffet and a raffle and was attended by rabbonim from different communities, supporters, shluchim and chassidim, university students, and reporters.
The speakers were Argentina’s head shliach Rabbi Tzvi Grunblatt, translator Leila Blanca, and the evening’s honorees were the Wengrower brothers, donors and big supporters of this project.
They were gifted with a set of the Jumash with their Hebrew names engraved on them and a plaque.
The main speech was given by Rabbi Natan Grunblatt, head of this project and director of Kehot Lubavitch South America (the Chabad-Lubavitch publishing house in Spanish) and translator for over 30 years.
He delighted the crowd with a marvelous and depth full speech where he showed the Rebbe’s greatness and teachings on “Rashi Sichos.”
The event served to inspire participants to appreciate the rebbe’s marvelous teachings and to thank the honorees for what they have done for disseminating the Wellsprings of Chassidus, bringing the Rebbe’s Torah outwards for the Latin-American community all over the world.
The Gutnick Chumash Spanish Edition can be purchased in their Argentina based store, selected US Judaica stores and through their website, www.kehot.com.ar. For bulk orders, email [email protected]
I would appreciate an email address/phone number for the translator. We are working to translate some of CyberSem’s courses into Spanish and need a reliable translator. Please contact Chavi at [email protected]
This is now the third language in which the Gutnick chumash has been translated
