I look at the pictures here and its shocking to see how many “educators” are here I do not see any off the “BIG” rosh yeshiva or rosh mesvita here out of all the chabad schools this all you can put togather I must come to concluson like so many others in the community that if they were really intrested in the chinuch of our kids you would improve themself I see rabbis in white beards who joined the confrence because you can never learn to much . look at the torah umesora convention and lern from them A loving… Read more »

While it would be nice for ALL of us to have professional development paid for, no matter what field we are in, and I think it should be a high priority for teachers to have been at this conference. They don’t mind paying to attend the Kinnus Hashluchim which has a huge social and huge ego aspect to it as well, which this conference does not. As one who pays plenty much for tuition (more than most others), all of our children deserve to have teachers who value training and personal growth.

Most teachers’ “vacation” equals a second job, and since no one reimburses them for their time or expenses, the chinuch conference is, unfortunately, not an option.

It would be nice, no, it should be mandatory for all of the yeshivas to pay for all teachers and rebbeim to attend these conferences and support continuing education for our educators. Oh, but that would mean that the community, including parents and philanthropists and administrations would put the chinuch of our children before other things…..
