Dr. Yitzchok Rosenberg, a Lubavitcher husband and father formerly from Brooklyn, NY, and more recently Naharia, Israel, passed away on Thursday night, 7 Nissan, 5782.
He was 47 and passed away after a long battle with COVID 19.
He was raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and became close to Chabad Chassidus as a bochur, 25 years ago.
As a teen and young married man, he spent much time assisting youth with mental health issues, and he spent his time volunteering to help many in the frum community.
He attended medical school, and became a neurologist, with a passion for helping the underserved psychiatric patients in the frum community.
A few years ago, he and his family made aliya to Israel, where he became a member of the Naharia Chabad community.
He continued a fellowship in the Rambam Hospital in Israel, associated with New York’s Cornell hospital.
He contracted COVID 1 year ago, and fell very ill. Even while ill, he continued to assist many underserved uninsured psychiatric patients from the hospital. He was a member of the Gedalia Society, and spent much time studying the Rebbe’s sichos on medicine and helping others.
Last night, after many months of health challenges, he succumbed to infection.
He leaves behind his wife and 7 children.
The Levaya took place today in Israel.
