Supporters of the new Mikvah Mei Chaya Mushka in Crown Heights met at the construction site this week to view the progress of the building and hear from the founder Moshe Pinson.
After touring the facility, and seeing the work that has been completed, the group was encouraged to continue their support by Shliach Rabbi Yossi Schildkraut of Brazil.
The group was very excited to see the nearly-completed structure, and were inspired to continue their involvement.
“We were so excited to see the work of the devoted people who are involved in the project,” said Tamar Pewzner, who along with her husband Feivish, is a major supporter of the new Mikvah.
“We were very encouraged to see the progress thus far, and were inspired to increase our support to build this special Mikvah which will make women feel pampered and special and beautify this most important Mitzvah,” she said.
The Mikvah will include eight modernly-designed, beautifully-furnished preparation rooms and two elegant mikvah pools, designed by Maggie Rogatsky of Haute Couture Design. In the words of Rogatsky, the Mikvah will be “the most luxurious and state-of-the-art mikvah ever built.”
“We all know how important this was to the Rebbe,” said Dovid Rogatsky. “When the Rebbe heard from a Shliach that an event he made about family purity had only one attendee, the Rebbe said ‘Moshe Rabbeinu had only one mother.’ How much more so for a Mikvah that will affect thousands of women who live in and visit Crown Heights,” he said.
“Now is the time to step up to the plate, and get involved,” said Moshe Pinson. “We are at the very end. If every Crown Heights resident and every Shliach will contribute, even a little bit, we will be able to complete this magnificent Mikvah, which will surely make the Rebbe proud.”
All donations, of any size, welcome. To donate go to mikvahcm.com.
If every woman who waited more that an hour to use our current mikvah would contribute 100$ each, this mikvah would be completed long ago.
